Every open tab is a thought you haven't finished.
Simmer is a free Chrome extension that remembers what your tabs were for. It turns the pile into a short list of what you're in the middle of, clears your window, and brings a whole task back in one click.
No account. Your tabs stay in your browser.
A day with Simmer
From the pile to a clear window and back, in four moments.
-

The first minute
Fifteen tabs become five things
Simmer reads the tabs you already have and sorts them by what they're for. You don't make groups, write rules or file anything. Nothing changes until you press Start.
Fifteen tabs, five things. -

Done for now
Put it on the back burner
Its tabs close and your window clears. Every tab is saved before it closes, and one click brings the whole task back together, in its group, where you left it.
Kyoto trip, on the back burner. -

Next morning
Start where you left off
Once a day, Simmer can open a short list of what you were on yesterday. Pick one thing up, or leave them all where they are. Mail, chat and calendars stay open by themselves.
Yesterday's three things, waiting. -

Any time
Nothing lost, ever
There are no silent limits, and nothing is dropped to make room. Everything Simmer does is written down under Recently, in plain words, with Undo next to it.
Every action, with Undo.
A pot on low heat doesn't need watching.
Kept in your browser
No account and no server. Your tabs are stored in Chrome on your computer. The model that compares tab titles is part of the extension and runs there too.
The privacy policy lists everything Simmer reads.

Questions
- What happens when a task is put away?

- No. Mail, chat and calendars stay open, and you can keep any site open.
- Does it do anything before I say so?
- No. The first run reads your tabs and changes nothing until you press Start.
- What does it cost?
- Nothing.
